We incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into all aspects of our operations in Nigeria, adhering to applicable regulations. This Policy therefore outlines our commitment and the steps we take to integrate environmental, social, and governance principles into our business practices to promote sustainability, ethical conduct, and transparency.

In our operations, we employ a comprehensive waste reduction strategy. Promoting recycling, composting, and appropriate disposal methods for all waste products are part of this. We also utilize digital technologies for document storage, communication, and record-keeping, actively working toward paperless operations.

EUDR Compliance

Last updated: June 1, 2025

Our Commitment to EUDR Compliance

The European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) represents a crucial step towards preventing deforestation and promoting sustainable trade practices. Our work on environmentally sound practices, including the prevention of deforestation predates the introduction of the EUDR and we have started improving some targeted measures to ensure compliance with EUDR requirements.

Our EUDR Compliance Framework

Developing a Comprehensive Due Diligence Framework

We have established comprehensive due diligence processes to evaluate our supply chain for deforestation risks. This involves implementing systems to collect relevant data, including geospatial information, and assessing various risks throughout the value chain. Our framework also incorporates third-party verification to ensure the data collected complies with EUDR requirements.

Implementing Traceability Systems

We have invested in advanced traceability systems that help us track our products from farm to market. These systems enable us to provide complete transparency about the origin of our commodities and ensure compliance with EUDR requirements.

Training and Capacity Building

We continue to conduct training sessions for our team and supply chain partners such as farmers, brokers and local buying agents to ensure they are well-informed about EUDR requirements and best practices for compliance.
